«Plato de engaño», centro de mesa de cerámica de Manises con uvas fingidas, vintage 40s-50s.
La cerámica de Manises es famosa por la excelente calidad de sus producciones desde la Edad Media. A mediados del siglo XX distintos alfares modernizaron sus producciones, realizando nuevos diseños, mezclando la tradición y los motivos clásicos con formas y usos modernos, como las famosas lámparas de motivos vegetales. Se hicieron muy populares también los centros de mesa, botijos y otras piezas decorativas que imitaban de forma naturalista frutas y vegetales con todo detalle.
En este caso, se trata de uno de los populares «platos de engaño», que reproducían de manera fiel y naturalista un plato con frutas.
Firmada en el interior de la base «Made in Spain Casa Fina».
En buen estado de conservación vintage para su antigüedad, sin faltas de consideración. Presenta roturas en algunas hojas (ver fotos de detalle).

Manises pottery is famous for the excellent quality of its products since the Middle Ages. Around mid-twentieth century different potteries modernized their production, making new designs, mixing tradition and classical motifs with modern shapes and uses, such as the famous lamps of floral motifs. Also popular centerpieces, jugs and other decorative pieces that imitated naturalistically fruits and vegetables in detail were made.
In this case, it’s a «trompe d’oeil», imitating a plate with life size grapes, faithfully reproducing the details of the grapes and leaves.

Signed within the base «Made in Spain Casa Fina».
In good state of preservation for its age. It has breaks in a pair of tips (see detail photos).
