RACIMO DE LIMONES – Pieza mural de cerámica de Manises, vintage 50s-60s.
Una preciosa pieza de cerámica de Manises reproduciendo un racimo de limones.
La cerámica de Manises es famosa por la excelente calidad de sus producciones desde la Edad Media. A mediados del siglo XX distintos alfares modernizaron sus producciones, realizando nuevos diseños, mezclando la tradición y los motivos clásicos con formas y usos modernos, como las famosas lámparas de motivos vegetales. Se hicieron muy populares también los centros de mesa, botijos y otras piezas decorativas que imitaban de forma naturalista frutas y vegetales con todo detalle.
En este caso se trata de una pieza pensada como decoración mural, aunque también puede ser usada como centro de mesa.
Racimo de 10 limones, con hojas, a tamaño real.
Cerámica blanca con acabado policromado y vidriado brillante.
En la trasera tiene una apertura para colgar de una alcayata en la pared.
En excelente estado de conservación, sin roturas, tan solo un par de faltas milimétricas en el esmalte (ver fotos de detalle, se muestran estas faltas en primer plano).
Medidas: altura 34 cm; ancho 18 cm; profundidad 12 cm.

Manises pottery has been famous for the excellent quality of its products since the Middle Ages. In the mid-20th century, various potteries modernised their productions, creating new designs, mixing tradition and classic motifs with modern shapes and uses, such as the famous lamps with plant motifs. Centrepieces, jugs and other decorative pieces that imitated fruits and vegetables in a naturalistic way in great detail also became very popular.
In this case, it is a piece designed as a wall decoration, although it can also be used as a centrepiece.
Bunch of 10 lemons, with leaves, life-size.
White ceramic with a polychrome finish and glossy glaze.
On the back it has an opening to hang from a hook on the wall.
In excellent condition, without breaks, just a couple of millimetric defects in the glaze (see detailed photos, these defects are shown in close-up).
Measurements: height 34 cm – 13,4 inches; width 18 cm – 7,1 inches; depth 12 cm – 4,72 inches.
