MÁSCARA DE TUTANKAMÓN – Singular lámpara de cerámica de Manises, en estilo egipcio. Vintage 50s-60s.
Singular pieza, muy rara, perteneciente a una muy escasa serie de bustos egipcios, de la que se hicieron, al menos, dos modelos, masculino y femenino.
En este caso se trata de una máscara masculina, que podríamos identificar con la famosa máscara funeraria de Tutankamón, dadas sus similitudes, reproduciendo fielmente los rasgos faciales y los detalles del tocado, incluidas las figuras de la cobra (o ureo, representación de la diosa cobra Uadyet, símbolo del Bajo Egipto) y del buitre (la diosa Nejbet, símbolo del Alto Egipto).
Cerámica blanca con acabado vidriado brillante.
Pieza superior de remate en metal dorado.
Casquillo portalámparas nuevo, de latón dorado, con arandelas roscadas para sujetar la pantalla.
El cableado ha sido renovado.
El excelente estado de conservación.

MASK OF TUTANKHAMUN – Rare Ceramic lamp from Manises. White color. Mid century 50s-60s.
Singular piece, very rare, belonging to a very scarce series of Egyptian busts, of which at least two models were made, male and female.
In this case it is a male mask, which we could identify with the famous funerary mask of Tutankhamun, given their similarities, faithfully reproducing the facial features and wearing a «nemes» headcloth, topped by the royal insignia of a cobra (Wadjet) and vulture (Nekhbet), symbolising Tutankhamun’s rule of both Lower Egypt and Upper Egypt respectively
White ceramic with glossy glaze.
Golden metal top piece.
New lamp holder, made of golden brass, with threaded rings to hold the lampshade.
The wiring has been renewed.
Excellent state of preservation.
